When doctors graduate from Medical School, they spend the next 3-5 years training in residency at a Hospital. After their residency, most of them continue to obtain a Certificate in their Specialty. Others continue working in different positions, within the hospital environment. Hospital physicians may practice as emergency room doctors, surgeons, anesthesiologists or in other specialties. Doctors may also choose to work in teaching or research and development. Teaching physicians are responsible for the education and training of new physicians. They will be working at teaching institutions or Universities. These doctors are the cornerstone our entire Medical Establishment. But, the great majority of physicians select specific communities to go into private practice; however they are not part of this powerful medical establishment. Private practice allows for stronger doctor-patient relationships. This where medicine’s real medical challenge truly begins.
In private practice, we treat degenerative diseases. We expect to help our patients achieve full recovery, so they may lead successful, productive lives. The challenge of being doctor began for me, at this point. After I finished medical school, I worked many long hours in a hospital. I obtained my official Pediatric Certification and soon after, I became Board Certified. I expected to be able to solve most of my patient’s maladies in the treatment of chronic disease. However, the conventional treatment of chronic disease did not provide the recovery of lost functions and therefore, proved to be unsuccessful.
The basis of modern medicine lies in two basic principles: first Crisis intervention; secondly the symptomatic treatment of all else. Emergency room treatment is highly successful. Doctors in emergency facilities are well prepared. They are able to save lives and to restore basic lost functions, quickly and efficiently. Our medical establishment has placed the United States at the forefront of crisis intervention and emergency room care, worldwide. We are the best nation in the treatment of medical emergencies, such as: myocardial infarctions, asthma, acute infections, strokes or serious accidents. Great advances have been made in technology as well as in medical procedures in emergency care. Cases that were hopeless 20 years ago are successful today. Procedures such as: open heart surgery, organ transplants, saving the lives of a 20 week premature are some of the most remarkable today.
However, the conventional treatment of permanent or chronic conditions is not effective. The common practice of prescribing drugs to treat illnesses, does not work. Pharmaceuticals are excellent in providing temporary relief and suppressing symptoms. I found that diseases, as well as their conditions, continue to develop and proliferate. This is due to the fact that the origin and causes of the diseases have not been identified. As a result, patients and families, are frustrated, confused, powerless and in total despair. To this we add the secondary effects of the medication, or the side effects, which are numerous and complicate the conditions.
These are the reasons why I offer my help and advice, which is based on years of research and confirmed with clinical experience. My experience stems from years of research, confirmed by years of clinical practice, focused in Biochemistry and Nutrition. This does not mean that there are answers to all your problems, or that the search will be easy. Much effort is required from both the doctor and the patient. The doctor is an instrument, a guide. He may be the director of the orchestra, but you, the patient, play the final symphony. Your improvement will show as you implement knowledge and wisdom and the effort and determination that you apply. You will be the only winner or looser.
When the world was first created, there was a beautiful garden where all the trees bore precious fruit. Man came into the picture after this creation. I assure you that the more that we eat, those natural foods created by Our Father, the healthier that we will be. It will also be easier to regain our health if we eat whole, natural food. If we eat man made processed products from man’s laboratory, we will suffer the common ailments of today. It is important to realize that we still have the opportunity to enjoy natural resources. This will allow us to have a healthy life. It requires new knowledge, determination, obedience and a willing heart to follow proper recommendations.
There are 8 basic laws that must be implemented: Rest, sunshine, clean air and living water, proper healthy relationships, good nutrition, complete elimination and daily exercise of any kind. You don’t need to go to the gym, walking is a good exercise. There a numerous dietary programs. Some patients will highly benefit from a vegetarian diet and others need to consume animal protein. It would irresponsible and inappropriate to state that one diet is better than another without previously studying and experimenting with them.
It is very important to have the proper individual patient profile.
I suggest that you implement the following basic guidelines:
- Learn about the food you eat. Find out about the places where you purchase your products. Remember that many foreign substances are added to food. Some of these are: synthetic hormones, antibiotics, and pesticides. Be aware that there are myriads of chemicals that come under the heading of natural or artificial flavor.
- Purchase organic products. Preferably whole and fresh products, ripened in the tree. The fruits and vegetables that we commonly use are picked before they are ripped. They are processed with gasses, to provide the desired colors and consistency.
- Avoid processed, refined products. Particularly: white flour, sugar, corn syrup (also known as fructose) vegetable oils, hydrogenated fats or trans fats, synthetic preservatives, coloring, natural and artificial flavorings. Another newer caution is genetically engineered food, known as GMO and also, irradiated food.
- Nature’s garden provides different groups of products which contain important nutrients that we need to consume to be able to lead a healthy productive life. Our bodies require: carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Antioxidants are a number of nutrients that do not fall in a specific category and are extremely important. Some antioxidants are found in various pigments of natural food.
- Many of these nutrients are called essential because they are essential for life. However, our body can not synthesize or create them. Therefore we must obtain them thru our diet.
- When all these essential nutrients are present and well balanced, we will be able to meet the needs of or brain and our body.
- Proteins provide amioacids of which 8 to 10 are essentials. From proteins we create enzymes, hormones, neurotransmitters, and they form the building block of cells and organs.
- Fats provide two essential fatty acids: Alpha-linolenic acid (omega 3) and linoleic acid (omega6) and are very important. Most people also require two more types of fats, DHA and EPA. Essential fatty acids are very much neglected by the medical community and the general population. We are consuming today all kind of wrong fats, and this has become the leading factor in most of maladies today. Without a well balance supply of essential fatty acids, it is impossible for our body to function optimally.
- We have to overcome our fear to saturated fats and to start using them, mainly for cooking, where coconut oil is the leader. At the same time be aware of the danger of all refined vegetable oils and hydrogenated fats. They should be avoided completely.
- All the vitamins and minerals are essentials. Most of the antioxidants are also essentials.
When our bodies lack all of the precious elements that we have discussed, they become weak; we will become susceptible to disease. Essential nutrients are lost when we consume refined food. The body depends on the macro nutrients (carbohydrates, fats and proteins) in order to produce energy and to form the structural elements of our cells. The body requires micro nutrients to help in the above process. When we eat processed food, we consume empty calories and our body is nutritionally imbalanced. It then becomes toxic. When we are toxic and imbalanced, we go in the roller coaster of uncomfortable symptoms and of all the prevalent maladies of today. Can you see the picture?
We must also think of all of the toxic substances that are added to our food supply. When we consider the fact we have depleted our soil of its nutrients, our water is lacking its vital force and the numerous pollutants have lower the percentage of free O2 in the air we breathe, we have no choice, but to get ill.
But don’t be discouraged, just get informed and learn to make right choices. Learn to eat, in order to acquire health and not for the mere pleasure of it. Seek a doctor who is knowledgeable in the healing arts. Make certain that he uses nutrition as his or her main approach. That physician must also reserve the use of drugs for a crisis or as last resource.
In many cases, nutrients can be administered intramuscularly or directly on the vein. This mode of treatment is highly efficient and time effective, since it provides immediate assimilation.
I encourage you, to continue on your journey of health improvement, thru proper nutrition. I assure you that caring for your health is one of the best gifts that you can give yourself and your loved ones. Being healthy allows you to live your life to the fullest.
